Professor Oscar MarínFMedSci FRSco-leads the Neurodevelopment cluster which uses brain organoid models closely mimicking human brain tissue to explore genetic variants associated with neurodevelopmental disorders. Oscar is a Professor of Neuroscience at King’s College London. His lab investigates the development of the cerebral cortex in health and disease, focusing largely on cortical interneurons research, to help develop an understanding of the aetiology of psychiatric disorders, such as autism or schizophrenia.
