Dr Matthew Child leads the Protein Post-Translational Modification (PPTM) Cluster which is investigating the impact of genetic variations on rare disease. Matthew is a Senior Research Fellow at Imperial College London where his work seeks to understand how individual amino acids contribute to protein function in live cells, in rare disease, and during infections by ancient and emergent pathogens.
